IMPRS – International Max Planck Research School

The International Max Planck Research School for Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics (IMPRS-ACP) is a doctoral program at MPI for Chemistry in close co-operation with scientifically related institutes at the Universities of Mainz, Frankfurt and Heidelberg. The school offers to the Ph.D. students on the one hand a comprehensive supervision also outside of the own research group. On the other hand the graduate school provides the frame to prepare for the Ph.D. exam in an individually structured program, including lectures, workshops and summer schools, and to widen knowledge and skills beyond the research topic of the doctoral project. About 70 - 80 doctoral students participate in the program.

Through the IMPRS-ACP the Institute for Geosciences is also connected to the IMPRS in Jena (Global Biogeochemical Cycles - BGM) and Hamburg (Earth System Modeling - ESM).
